Tigers Game in Oakland

We came home from Chicago, checked espn.com, and decided to head out to the ballgame in Oakland to see the Tigers play. First time we've seen a Tigers game this season, home or away. We were a little late, but scalped great seats between 3rd and home for $10 each. Gotta love Oakland.

My sentiments exactly

A great time at Puja and Sachin's wedding

Here are some pics from the wedding this past Saturday in Chicago. Lots of dancing (and sweating).

The end of the world as we know it

Steve Yzerman announced his retirement as a hockey player today. Stevie Y has been the cornerstone of the Red Wings franchise since I've been old enough to follow sports (he was drafted in 1983). The biggest hero in Detroit sports in the last generation, we will miss him terribly as a player. Today is a very sad day.

Baby love

Seriously, how cute is she? Geesh brought Anika into our room at Neil and Sejal's place on Saturday morning. We were quickly smitten. Dosh dropped by shortly thereafter to visit his neice.

Father's Day at the Doshi house

We spent Father's Day at the Doshi's. Mom was out of town so Pop came by for some Dosa's. Shachi's parents came too. Baa really wanted to meet Gonzo, so we woke him up (he was sleeping in the car) and brought him in. Here's a picture of Gonzo with my dad and Baa.

Hanging in Ann Arbor with the Edisons

We're in Ann Arbor staying with Mike and Robin. Here's Robin avoiding the paparazzi. Look at that cute prego belly.

Eating on a budget

After spending a quick $80 on clothing, we decided that our dinner should more accurately reflect our financial situation. After living around the corner for 4 years I discovered City Tavern's Twosday happy hour.

Detroit sports broke my heart

Nothing much to say except that the Wings and Pistons just finished up extremely disappointing seasons. Just heartbreaking. At least we’ve got the Tigers doing good things again. Though perennial underachievement is much easier to take than bitter playoff losses.

Hello Again World - Relaunching Gujral Online!

So I've made the decision to move the blog over to blogger.com. This way it's free and easier to use than the old Wordpress blog. We've lost the content on the old blog, but let's face it, there wasn't much there anyway. I copied over Naheedy's fire post as well as my first blog post ever. Hopefully with the intuitive Blogger interface Nikita will be more inclined to participate in the family blogging activities.

Just to get started, here's a picture of Gonzo sleeping on one of Sab's boots.
